2016 World Naked Bike Ride in Portland, OR

Keep-Portland-Weird.com is please to share photos of the 2016 WNBR.  This was Portland’s twelfth year joining the annual, worldwide bike ride that highlights the vulnerability of cyclists everywhere and decries society’s dependence on pollution-based transport.  The event takes place in 70 cities across 20 countries!

The Portland WNBR is one of the largest gatherings of its kind worldwide and 2016 was no disappointment.  Once again the weather gods smiled on Stumptown.  A perfect summer night made for a very enjoyable ride and awesome afterparties!

The event was a joyful protest against oil dependency. Other objectives included raising awareness about the safety of cyclists and body positivity.

The ride began at Mt. Scott City Park and officially ended at Sellwood Park.  From Sellwood, many continued on along the Springwater Trail toward downtown.  Afterparties popped up here and there.  It was a great night the the crowd was huge!
