Portland World Naked Bike Ride – August 9, 2025
On August 9, 2025 there will be a World Naked Bike Ride in Portland. This ride announcement was called by a group of cyclists not affiliated with the traditional organizers of Portland’s WNBR. Further details are forthcoming but rumor has it that the ride will start at 20th St. and Hawthorne and proceed up Hawthorne. Keep-Portland-Weird.com will post more information as it becomes available.
As always, this naked bike ride is a protest calling attention to the climate crisis and fossil fuel dependency. Body paint and signs are encouraged. WNBR participants will rally around a range of issues other than environmental concerns including body positivity, cyclist vulnerability, and many others. Nudity in the form of protest is not illegal in Oregon, provided that there is no lewd behavior.
Help organize naked bike ride events.
The 2024 WNBR was cancelled last year because an insufficient number of volunteers came forward in time to help organize the event. The group that usually organizes the Portland World Naked Bike Ride, pdxwnbr.org, is affiliated with the non-profit Umbrella organization. There are still plans for pdxwnbr.org to schedule a naked bike ride this summer and they are seeking volunteers to help with the event. Please see their website and Facebook page for more information.
