The official Portland WNBR took place on Saturday, July 26th, 2025.
The ride started at Grant Park at NE 33rd Ave. & US Grant Place. Thousands of riders particpated in the protest ride. See the photo gallery below to view pictures of the 2025 WNBR. Another naked bike ride will be held on August 9, 2025. Read about the August ride here.
Organizers announced two rides for the summer of 2025. One is the official World Naked Bike Ride, plus an additional ride scheduled independently.
The WNBR is a demonstration for bicyclist safety, encouraging motorist to be aware of cyclists. It is also a protest against dependency on fossil fuels and the automobile culture. This is a protest ride, so body paint and signs are encouraged to highlight your concern for the climate crisis, oil dependency, LGBTQA+ rights, abortion access or any other political and social issues.

In Oregon, being clothing-free while protesting is considered an exercise of free speech, so it is not illegal. The Portland WNBR raises awareness of body dysmorphia, and helps shape public opinion by challenging how society views body shape & size, as well as questioning conventional notions of beauty.
The World Naked Bike Ride is an international event that takes place in over 70 cities around the world. By liberating ourselves from clothing, we demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists. We also increase self-esteem by promoting body positivity. We celebrate the idea that all humans are beautiful and none are perfect.
- Use public transit to reach start of ride.
- Bikes should have a headlight.
- Bring non-alcoholic beverages.
- Helmets and appropriate foot wear recommended.
- Decorate your bike!
- Carry a spare tube and a few basic tools.
- Watch out for other riders.
- The ride will be huge and starts slowly. Be patient.
- Join the after parties!
- Be safe, be kind, and have a great time!
