Workers & Migrants Unite on May 1st
May Day is a European festival of ancient origins marking the beginning of summer. It is also celebrated as an international workers holiday, like Labor Day, throughout much of the world.
May Day Rally and March in Portland
On May 1, 2026 labor unions and community organizations will join in solidarity to celebrate May Day in the South Park Blocks. A community fair begins at noon, followed by a 1:00 PM rally and a march at 3:30 PM.
